1. About Welaska

Welaska is a business communication and automation platform that helps businesses connect their WhatsApp Business accounts, manage customer conversations, organize contacts, collaborate through a shared inbox, use approved message templates, create campaigns and build automated workflows.

Welaska is operated by PK9 Software. In this policy, "Welaska", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the Welaska service and its operator.

2. Information We Collect

Account and workspace information

When you create or use a Welaska account, we may collect information such as your name, business name, email address, account identifiers, workspace information, role and authentication-related information.

WhatsApp Business and Meta information

When an authorized business user chooses to connect Meta or WhatsApp Business services to Welaska, we may receive and process information made available through Meta's authorized APIs. Depending on the features used, this may include:

  • WhatsApp Business Account identifiers;
  • WhatsApp business phone-number identifiers and details;
  • authorized Meta business asset information;
  • message-template information and template status;
  • WhatsApp messages, message events, delivery information and related conversation metadata;
  • basic information made available through the Meta authorization process; and
  • authorization credentials or tokens required to provide the connected service.

Welaska accesses these resources only after an authorized user initiates the Meta connection process and grants the requested permissions.

Customer and contact information

Businesses using Welaska may add, import or receive information relating to their customers and contacts. This can include names, phone numbers, tags, conversation history and other information entered or received while using the service.

Usage and technical information

We may process technical and usage information necessary to operate, secure and improve the service, such as application activity, request information, timestamps, device or browser information and diagnostic or security logs.

Billing information

When a paid Welaska plan is purchased, we may process billing and payment-verification information such as the selected plan, payment amount, transaction or UTR reference, payment status and payment proof submitted by the customer.

Welaska does not ask customers to provide their UPI PIN, card PIN, banking password or similar payment authentication secret.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • create and maintain Welaska accounts and workspaces;
  • connect authorized WhatsApp Business and Meta business assets;
  • send and receive business communications;
  • provide the shared inbox, contacts, templates, campaigns and automation features;
  • maintain account security and prevent misuse;
  • provide customer support and troubleshoot problems;
  • administer subscriptions and verify payments;
  • maintain and improve the reliability of the platform; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.
Welaska does not use access to a customer's Meta or WhatsApp Business assets for unrelated purposes. Access is used to provide functionality requested or authorized by the business using Welaska.

4. Meta Platform Data

Information received through Meta APIs is processed in connection with the functionality for which the user granted access. Welaska's integration may use permissions such as WhatsApp Business messaging, WhatsApp Business management, business management and basic profile information where required by the applicable Meta integration.

We process Meta Platform Data in accordance with applicable Meta platform requirements and use it to operate the connected WhatsApp Business functionality requested by the user.

5. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell customer personal information or Meta Platform Data.

Information may be shared or processed where reasonably necessary:

  • with Meta and WhatsApp when providing the connected WhatsApp Business functionality;
  • with infrastructure or service providers used to operate, secure or support Welaska, where applicable;
  • within a customer's Welaska workspace according to the roles and access granted by that customer;
  • when required to comply with applicable law, legal process or valid governmental requests; or
  • to protect the security, rights and integrity of Welaska, customers or other persons.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

Sensitive integration credentials used by Welaska are handled separately from ordinary user-facing data and are not intended to be exposed through the customer interface.

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. Customers are also responsible for protecting their account credentials and limiting access to authorized team members.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate business and security records, resolve disputes and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the customer's use of Welaska, applicable contractual requirements and legal obligations.

8. Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of their Welaska account and associated personal information, subject to information that must be retained for legitimate security, transactional or legal purposes.

Instructions for requesting deletion are available on our Data Deletion Instructions page.

Users may also disconnect their Meta or WhatsApp Business integration. Disconnecting an integration may prevent Welaska from providing features that depend on that connection.

9. Business Customers and Their Contacts

Businesses using Welaska are responsible for the customer and contact information they submit to the platform and for using WhatsApp messaging in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, consent requirements and Meta/WhatsApp policies.

Where Welaska processes customer-contact information on behalf of a business customer, the business customer determines why that information is used within its communication workflows.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law and your relationship with Welaska, you may have rights relating to access, correction or deletion of your personal information.

You may also stop using connected Meta or WhatsApp Business functionality by disconnecting the relevant integration or requesting assistance from Welaska.

11. Third-Party Services

Welaska integrates with third-party services including Meta and WhatsApp. Your use of those services is also subject to the applicable third party's terms, policies and requirements.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, legal requirements or data practices change. The current version will be published on this page with its updated date.

13. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, privacy practices or a data request, please contact PK9 Software through the contact information provided on the Welaska website.
